We are amazed at the courage of the homeless that we know. They seem to have a FAITH that is hard to understand at times...The standard question we ask them is "What do you need", and the overwhelming answer is always JOBS. We have talked to people who have been laid off after 30+ years of employment, and feel left out of the system because they have ended up living in conditions they never thought they would ever be in. I had a talk recently with a famous homeless activist 23 weeks ago, and he explained to me, he was not interested in only giving them food..etc..he wanted to completely end this condition, I must agree with him, simply giving food, and other things is a partial answer but not the solution..big battles require lots of help..were are in the midst of revamping our efforts to help..if you haveany idea's let us know its a huge problem everywhere. one thing for sure, someone has got to care.....God Bless You!!
